Activities of holding companies
The company is a holding company with investments in the subsidiaries of the Hella Group in Spain. It was incorporated in May 1997 and has its head office located in Tres Cantos. The company has majority voting shares in the following subsidiaries: Hella S.A., which is engaged in selling of special original equipment (OE); Compañía Electrónica del Automóvil S.A., a specialized manufacturer of relays, horns and trumpet horns; and Manufacturas y Accesorios Eléctricos S.A., a company involved in the production of headlamps and signal/sundry lamps. It is owned by Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. (Hella Group), one of the 100 largest industrial companies in Germany and is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive lighting and electronics in the world. Based in Lippstadt, Germany, the Hella Group employs more than 23,000 staff in 18 countries.
