It was incorporated in September 1932 under the laws of Spain. The company is globally and domestically owned by Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin, a France based publicly quoted company whose principal activity is the manufacture of tyres and wheels for cars, two wheelers, trucks, earth movers, tractors and air crafts. Their other activities include travel assistance services by providing a range of maps, guides and digital products. The company is also active in Netherlands through its subsidiary Konz Holding BV, in Switzerland through Michelin Participations S.A., and in France through Soc Europeennne de Pneumatiques.
